These are the remains of the Beekman Furnace located on Furnace Road in the Town of Beekman, NY. The 48 foot furnace stack was built in 1873 by the Clove Spring Iron Works. This anthracite-fired furnace processed 700 tons of ore annually from Union Vale mines.
