This is one of two Camp Dubois replicas in the area. The other is located at the Camp River DuBois State Historic Site in Hartford, Illinois. Both Camps are located away from the original Camp Dubois due to the changing course of the rivers. This Camp is located along the Wood River (River Dubois) as the original was. This fort is used for reenactments particularly during the May when the Camp DuBois Rendezvous is held. The Corps of Discovery stayed at this camp December 12, 1803 - May 14, 1804.
