The Pere Marquette Lodge was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1933 through 1939, and opened in 1940. The lodge features a 50-foot tall fireplace weighing 700 tons. The lodge was added onto in 1988 expanding it to 50 guest rooms. The Lodge also has 22 rooms located in its detached cabins. The Lodge features a pool and a restaurant serving hearty meals.
