This rest area, in addition to being the Mississippi Welcome Center, is where visitors check in to go on a tour of Stennis Space Center. This area is also an historical area (see nearby waymark Gainesville Volunteers).
Mississippi-It's like coming home! Dawg was born in Mississippi but she didn't feel like she was home while she visited Mississippi.
