The late Peter Dolmans writes in his book "Lincolnshire Windmills - a contemporary survey...

“This once fine, tall tower mill was built in 1827 and was later raised by one storey, probably when it gained an adjoining steam mill in 1842. It worked until 1912 and was dismantled soon afterwards. The steam mill became derelict and was demolished but the tower has been allowed to remain. There were four patent sails, driving three pairs of stones, with a further three pairs in the steam mill.”
