The landlord's dog is called Patch and can be found in front of the real fire. No meals only meat pies, crisps and chocolate bars. No music, no juke box. Locals cluster around their favourite table, to play dominoes. In one of three rooms, making up the pub, is a darts board and fruit machine. Only time there is a bouncer on the door is New Year's eve, when its packed. No room to move.
No internal photograph, please visit and find out why it's called the Golden Rule.
Originally a Hartley's (Ulverston) pub, who were taken over by Robinson's of Manchester.
