Austin, Texas claims to be the "live music capital of the world", and whether or not that's true, they do host the south by southwest (SXSW) music conference every spring, showcasing hundreds of bands from around the world, as well as the Austin City Limits music festival, which originated in the popular live music show of the same name which airs on PBS nationwide. and they recently installed a series of artist-painted guitar sculptures, along the lines of the cow sculptures found in some cities. this one is a black floral gibson outside waterloo records, another austin institution.
