Zion National Park is located in Springdale, Utah If you have visited other National Parks in this area and you have not gotten here yet, gas up the car and get going. Zion is completely different than the other National Parks of this area. Zion is a canyon park. The visitors center is located at the south entrance, near Springdale. There is an entrance fee. Once inside the Park, you will drive along 12 miles of twisting turning, ever-changing scenic roads. Every turn brings new found views that are spectacular. Zion seems to have a little of everything. There is backpacking, hiking, camping, you can hike to Emerald falls, stay overnight at Zion Lodge, there is horseback riding, bicycling, climbing and wildlife everywhere. We recently returned from a trip and we saw wild turkey, mule deer and beautiful birds. There are even Mountain Lions.
Zions offers a Junior Ranger program. Ranger lead programs and trails everywhere.
