This is the memorial to the Dam Mascot. The Hoover Dam construction crew's mascot was found as a puppy by workers at the construction camp. The dog traveled to and from the damsite with them and spent his days visiting the many work areas. On February 21, 1941, the life of this devoted animal came to an end when a truck under which he was sleeping rolled over him. The workers prepared a memorial the same day and laid their beloved mascot to rest.
His memorial can be found at the Hoover Dam. There is no entrance fee to visit his memorial.
Please stop by and honor this pup. Post a photo of yourself and your group by his memorial.
