These two parks are great places to visit to see the Columbus skyline. Since they're within 1/2 a mile I'm just posting it as one location.
Confluence Park can be found off of US 33 near SR 315 just west of the downtown area. It can be a little tricky to find but they do have lots of signs up now to guide the way. This park is aptly named for it's location at the confluence of the Scioto and Olentangy rivers. The views into downtown are down the Scioto river from the confluence to its bend right in the downtown area.
North Bank Park is one of the newest parks in the area, and is just a little closer to downtown from Confluence Park, but it's still located on US 33. There is metered parking along the side of the road. Unfortunately I don't know how much it costs as I've always been here on weekends, evenings, or other times when the meters are not being enforced. From here you're afforded a closer view of the Columbus skyline across the Scioto River.
