The Chiller North was built in October of 2003, it features 2 NHL regulation rinks, the Blueline Team Store where you can buy your Columbus Blue Jackets memorabilia, 10 public dressing rooms, seating for 1,000 spectators, an enclosed 2nd story viewing area, and the Ice Box snack bar and kitchen. The Chiller North plays host to Olentangy High School Hockey, Thomas Worthington High School Hockey, Worthington Kilbourne High School Hockey, Capital Amateur Hockey Association, Ohio Wesleyan University, Columbus Curling Club, Central Ohio Girls and Womens Hockey Assocation and Columbus Jr. B Hockey. Public activities include youth and adult hockey leagues, skating classes, public skating, birthday parties and private group events.
Because of all the events, practices and matches that are held here, if you wish to visit for some public skating you would be best to check their daily schedule found here.
The cost of admission for public skating is $4.00 for adults, students and children for the Noon skate Monday - Friday. $8.00 for adults, students and children during the "Friday night meltdown", skate rentals are included in admission for the Friday night meltdown. Saturday and Sunday the price is $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for students and $4.00 for children (4 and under). Skate rentals are available for $2.00, with no additional charge for rentals for children 4 and under.
