his church has been in constant use since 1835 and is the oldest church in constant use in Delaware County. This congregation built a log church about 2 miles north at Lawrence Rd and Meridith Rd in 1819, and moved to its current location in 1835. The actual congregation was started in 1810. There have been a few additions to the church over the years, but the original church still stands and is in service. On August 26, 1989 the church was mostly destroyed by fire. All that remained was part of a newer addition, and the original stone walls of the sanctuary. The congregation still met, and services were held outside the very next day. The church was rebuilt and the first services were held in the refinished building on Easter Day 1991.
