This is one of eleven boundary stones engraved with an H around the Hamlyn Newtake, which was named after the Hamlyn family who enclosed it. Once part of the Willsworthy Manor now owned by the Ministry of Defence. The tumbledown newtake walls can still clearly be seen.
The waymark is within the Willsworthy Firing Range, and can only be visited on non-firing days.
