Main Place Mall is a mall by name only. There really aren't that many stores left inside as the landlord opts not to renew the tenant's leases when they are up. Slowly, the mall store space is being converted to office space. Nevertheless, there are still a few national chain stores including a GNC, Key Bank, Foot Locker, and Kids Foot Locker. The remainder of the stores are mostly dollar-type stores or privately-owned African-American clothing stores.

The food court is always busy though, as there aren't many food choices for downtown workers. Choices include sub/sandwich, taco, salad, Italian, Greek, chicken wings, pizza, and hot dog/burger resturants.
