"Located between the towns of Escaldes and Engordany, the Engordany Bridge is in the center of the parish of Escaldes. Its medieval structure is made of pumice stone and features a semicircular arch. It has a flat, cobbled roadway with a small parapet along the entire length of the bridge.
It was built for the second time in 1785, as the original structure—erected in 1772—was destroyed by a massive flood. Its peculiarity is that its ends are asymmetrical, due to the difference in level on both sides of the viaduct.
The Engordany Bridge crosses the Valira de Oriente River and can be accessed from Carlemany Avenue or from the Ensucaranes road.
Finally, it's also part of the Engordany Route , an itinerary that takes a historical tour of both towns and allows you to see firsthand the vestiges of our past."
