Silvi is an Italian comune in the province of Teramo, about 15 kilometres (9 mi) north of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It stretches from Silvi Marina, a small seaside resort on the Adriatic Coast, to Silvi Paese up in the hills.
The shield of the coat of arms of Silvi shows on a blue background the old castle flanked by two plants, both representing the comune's important role in the liquorice industry. The castle is on green surface representing the Adriatic Sea. The shield is surmounted by a crown and at its base there are the motto and two laurel branches. The motto between the shield and the laurel branches reads in Latin "OLIM CASTRUM SILVII" (FORMERLY A FOREST CAMP).
