The track open in 1875 with the name " Club de Corridas Paulistano." The first race happen in October 1876 in another of Sao Paulo's tracks. This track opened in 1941.

The clubs house 1500 throughbred English horses. There are four tracks. The grass track is 2119 meters. The sand one is 1993 meters. This one is used for official races. There are two other sand tracks for training.
