Sjusøen is the most popular area for cross country skiing i Norway and one of the largest.
The area offers a wide range of skiing alternatives, including on approximately 350 kilometres (220 mi) of prepared cross-country trails. The tracks run all the way to Lillehammer and Øyer municipalities and they also connect with the Olympic tracks at the Birkebeineren Ski Stadium. The trails go through forested and mountain terrain, and are clearly marked with signposts.
The area has loads of hotels and holliday cabins so you will easily find somewhere to stay. There is also a large store with equipment for skiing and a supermarket.
The nearest large city is Lillahammer where the winter olympics took place in 1994.
At the arena you can choose a lot of different trails. The routes are esy to follow and are being prepared on an almost daily basis during the skiin season.
