Lock and Dam #25 is one of 25 locks and dams on the Upper Mississippi River and is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The lock and dam went into operation May 18, 1939. The lock is a single lock which measures 600 feet long and 110 feet wide and the average lift is 15 feet. The accompanying dam is 1296 feet long.
