The Aksarben Aquarium is located in the Schramm park State Recreation area on the banks of the Platte River in Eastern Nebraska. The 12,000 square foot building features a unique circular display area with 12 tanks placed so that only one is visible at a time. The building also houses a terrarium with displays of reptiles and amphibians, a natural history classroom and an auditorium.
The aquarium is open year round (closed some weekdays during the winter)and is located about 5.5 miles from I-80 exit 432
