"Aywaille station is a railway station along railway line 42 in the municipality of Aywaille.
The station building was built in 1884 and put into use at the inauguration of the railway in early 1885. From the beginning, it was the most important station in the area due to the large number of travelers and the various quarries and forest operations in the area. In addition to the 2 main tracks, there were five side tracks in use for the freight station. Two of these tracks were equipped with a weighbridge.
Until 1960 there was a branch to the Grand'Heid quarry. The goods were then taken to the station by truck. In 1986 the freight station was closed. The goods warehouse was demolished in 1998.
Between 1996 and 1998 the station building was renovated and in 1999 a bus station was built on the site of the old goods warehouse.
Since October 1, 2015, the ticket offices of this station have been closed and it has become a stopping point." Source:Wikipedia
