I don't know much about the history of this one, but I know that during the summer I frequently see people stopped here to fill up jugs to take home. It looks like it was capped at one time, but I'm not sure if the locals broke it open some time ago, or if nature took over and put a hole in the cap.
The well is just off the road, and there is a pull off to get to it. The water flows into a small stream, and seems to have a high sulfur and iron content. You can smell the sulfur when standing near it, and you can certainly taste the iron as well. This seems to be typical of all of the well water in the area.
