Old wagon wheel reused on draw well inn Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum. Poor people don't hang a wagon wheel on the wall as decoration, no they find a way to reuse everything.
This is how you can recycle a broken cart.
When you turn the wagon wheel, the water bucket is raised up and down in the well. It's well thought and shows how things were reused in the old days. The large wheel must also make it easier to turn, and it probably won't take as much effort as if it were a small handle.
The Village Museum was founded in 1936. It is an area of over 15 hectares and displays traditional houses, mills, farmhouses, churches, water mills and other buildings from all over Romania.
Most buildings have been removed from their original area and rebuilt in the museum area. In the museum, the buildings are recreated in small environments, so that you can clearly see the difference between the types of buildings in the various regions of Romania.
