The timeline begins in the 16th century when Portuguese navigators discovered this mountain and called it the "Pinnacle of Temptation" and ends with the 90th anniversary of the Christ the Redeemer statue in 2021. The writing is in Portuguese and English.
We can access the statue by train, van or car. We arrived by train and chose the elevator to access the statue rather than the 220-step staircase.
Ticket prices to access the Christ the Redeemer statue via the Corcovado Train are around R$64 for children (5-11 years) and R$93.50 for adults. For those above 60 years, the cost is approximately R$32. The prices include the train up, back down, and the entrance to Christ the Redeemer.
