Nell'autunno del 1993 si verificarono forti temporali nella zona del Lago
Maggiore, che portarono a massicce inondazioni in tutti i paesi sulle sue sponde
e soprattutto sulle isole del lago, come l'Isola Pescatori, il 14 ottobre 1993.
Accanto alla scalinata del Bar Miralago (vista lago) è stato posto un
