EN: This small amphitheater is located next to a restored old building on the Landmauer (country wall) in Gamsen. This is the best-preserved medieval defensive wall in Switzerland and dates back to the 14th century.
The arena was only recently built. It has a diameter of around 20 meters and the seats are made of rough pieces of rock. The arena with the building (which also contains cooking and sanitary facilities) can be hired for events.
DE: Dieses kleine Amphitheater befendet sich neben einem restaurierten alten Gebäude an der Landmauer in Gamsen. Dies ist die besterhaltene mittelaterliche Schutzmauer der Schweiz und geht auf das 14. Jahrhundert zurück.
Die Arena wurde erst kürzlich errichtet. Sie hat einen Durchmesser von rund 20 Metern und die Sitze sind aus rohen Felsstücken. Die Arena mit den Gebäude (das auch eine Kochgelegenheit und sanitäre Anlagen enthält) kann für Anlässe gemietet werden.
