Small windmill with thatched roof inn Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum.

The windmill originates from the area Enisala, Tulcea County. It is from the first half of the 20th century and was moved to the museum in 1965.

The windmill has been used to grind small amounts of wheat or corn for a single family's consumption. It has therefore been a normal building by the farms.

The Village Museum was founded in 1936. It is an area of over 15 hectares and displays traditional houses, mills, farmhouses, churches, water mills and other buildings from all over Romania.
All buildings have been removed from their original area and rebuilt in the museum area. In the museum, the buildings are recreated in small environments, so that you can clearly see the difference between the types of buildings in the various regions of Romania.
