Wassserfall Hännemer Wühre - Laufenburg, BW, Germany - Man-made Waterfalls on Waymarking.com

EN: The medieval canals in the southern Black Forest are called "Wühre". They were used for irrigation and to operate mills. The Hännemer Wühre branches off from the Schreiebach north of Laufenburg and is around five kilometers long. Today, a large part of it runs through residential areas and has been laid in underground pipes in some places, especially in the final third.

Shortly before it flows into the Rhine at the Codman-Anlage park, it crosses under the railroad tracks and forms a small waterfall around ten meters high.


DE: Die mittelalterlichen Kanäle im Südschwarzwald werden Wühre genannt. Sie dienten der Bewässerung und um Mühlen zu betreiben. Die Hännemer Wühre wird nördlich von Laufenburg vom Schreiebach abgezweigt und ist rund fünf Kilometer lang. Heute verläuft sie zu einem guten Teil durch Wohngebiete und ist besonders im letzten Drittel an einigen Stellen in unterirdische Rohre verlegt worden.

Kurz bevor sie im Park Codman-Anlage in den Rhein fliesst unterquerst sie die Eisenbahngeleise und bildet einen kleinen Wasserfall von rund zehn Metern Höhe.
