"La obra se localiza en el puerto y fue realizada en 2005 por Salvador Ceballos.

La escultura de piedra es un homenaje a las rederas de la ciudad y refleja esta profesión tradicional, una profesión que sólo la ejercen dos familias actualmente en la ciudad.

En el monumento aparecen dos mujeres tejiendo las redes de los barcos que acaban de faenar.

En una placa leemos: “ El pueblo de Castro a sus mujeres del mar” "

"The work is located in the port and was carried out in 2005 by Salvador Ceballos.

The stone sculpture is a tribute to the city's rederas and reflects this traditional profession, a profession that is currently practiced by only two families in the city.

In the monument two women appear weaving the nets of the boats they have just fished.

On a plaque we read: “The people of Castro to their women of the sea”
