Wickham Park is a beautiful 280 acre park in Manchester, CT. It was left to the city as a gift by the Wickham family. Among the many attractions at Wickham Park are a sensory garden, a disc golf course, a nature center, playgrounds, themed gardens, and an aviary.

From their website:

"Wickham Park is home to a variety of birds, in addition to the natural wildlife in the park. These birds include turkeys, pheasants, peafowl, owls, waterfowl, and exotic chickens. The park also shelters Turkey Vultures, Red-Tailed Hawks, Canada Geese, and a Great Horned Owl. All migratory birds are non-releasable to the wild due to injuries. All the birds are kept in the park’s Aviary where the public can view and learn about them.

This attraction is a favorite of both children and adults. It is located adjacent to our main playground and nearby Nature Center. Bird food is available for purchase in our vending machines located near the middle of the Aviary, 25 cents per handful, so bring quarters if you’d like to feed the birds!"
