Reloj de esfera redonda que adorna la torre campanario de la catedral, la esfera combina el azul en el centro y el blanco en el exterior en perfecto contraste con los números romanos y marcas en negro al igual que las manillas.

"La Catedral de los Santos Felipe y Santiago ( italiano : Cattedrale dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo ), comúnmente conocida como Catedral de Sorrento ( italiano : Duomo di Sorrento ), es una catedral católica romana ubicada en Via Santa Maria della Pietà en Sorrento , Italia. La catedral está dedicada a los santos Felipe Apóstol y Santiago el Justo , y ha sido la sede del arzobispo de Sorrento-Castellammare di Stabia desde 1986. Anteriormente fue la sede de los obispos y arzobispos de Sorrento.

Se construyó por primera vez alrededor del siglo XI y fue reconstruido en el siglo XV en estilo románico.

En el baptisterio de la iglesia fue bautizado el poeta Torquato Tasso , el ciudadano más conocido de la localidad.

El campanario de la catedral tiene tres plantas y está decorado con un reloj. La base del campanario data de la época del Imperio Romano . La fachada data de 1924. Las puertas principales son del siglo XI procedentes de Constantinopla."

It was previously the seat of the bishops and archbishops of Sorrento.

It was first built around the 11th century and was rebuilt in the 15th century in Romanesque style.

The poet Torquato Tasso, the town's best-known citizen, was baptized in the church's baptistery.

The cathedral's bell tower has three floors and is decorated with a clock. The base of the bell tower dates from the time of the Roman Empire. The façade dates from 1924. The main doors are from the 11th century from Constantinople."
