"La escultura, realizada en bronce y con un peso de cinco toneladas, del maestro António Pacheco, muestra a un pescador tirando de las redes en una embarcación de cinco metros de eslora, con la imagen, en la proa, de Nuestra Señora de Arrábida.
El monumento, cuyos elementos son de tamaño natural, también contiene el poema “Naufrágio”, de Sebastião da Gama, y ??el barco lleva el nombre de “Nuestra Señora Estrella del Mar”."

"The sculpture, made of bronze and weighing five tons, by master António Pacheco, shows a fisherman pulling the nets in a boat five meters long, with the image, on the bow, of Our Lady of Arrábida .
The monument, whose elements are life-size, also contains the poem “Shipfrage”, by Sebastião da Gama, and the ship is named after “Our Lady Star of the Sea.”
