These are farmers, perhaps on their way to the market to sell their produce.
The man walks in front and carries a basket of peat on his back. After him walks his wife carrying a milk pail.
The two people are located on a small hill in Thorshavn and they are facing the city.
The bronze sculptures were made by Eyvind Dalsgaard and Jens Peter Kellermann in 1984
