The sculptor Anton Agius together with his two beloved dogs can be seen in the square l-Ghalqa ta' Kola. The sculpture was made by two of his former students, Joseph Scerri and Monica Spiteri,
The monument in bronce and granite was unveiled in 2011.

Anton Agius died in 2008. He is known for his many sculptures around Malta, and near this sculpture there are actually several sculptures he made.

The sculpture depicts Anton in his work as an artist. He is currently carving some fish for a sculpture. And surrounded by his beloved dogs. He had raised one dog himself, the other dog was a former street dog. It is unknown what breed the dogs are.
