VIRIDIAN GREEN
BRONZE, 2023

The West Yorkshire History Centre holds records of births, marriages and deaths dating back to the 12th century. These are symbolic themes echoed in my work from vulnerability and strength, grief and renewal, hope, uncertainty, rebirth and creativity.'

returned and her iconic stacked sculptures are symbols of all the experiences and emotions we have through life. Bronze Stack 9, Viridian Green is inspired by Annie's sense of Wakefield and the district. The colours reflect the vivid blues, deep reds and vibrant greens of the busy city as well as the stunning landscapes beyond. Annie plans her sculptures by drawing them. Models are then made in her studio before being cast in a foundry.
