These magnificent springs explode from the mountain side and form a stream that flows into Mirror Lake. Enter the Caverns at the visitor's Center where an elevator transports the spelunker over two hundred feet below the surface to a place above the springs. Inside the mountain is an enormous labyrinth of caverns that are the home of many bats, columns, sparkling flowstone, delicate soda straws, stalactites and stalagmites. The springs flow through these caves then out of the mountain and into Mirror Lake where Rainbow Trout fishing abounds and the water flows constantly over a dam into the North Sylamore Creek. Camping, swimming, fishing and spelunking are among the many activities to be found at Blanchard Springs Caverns.
