aan het kanaal Almelo Noordhorn staat sinds 2007 dit prachtige Mariakapelletje, het is een van de meest recent gebouwde kapellen in Twente, de kapel is gebouw op initiatief van 2 buurtbewoners te weten Frans Kuiper en Antoon Wilders het is vernoemt naar de schotbrookweg aan welke de kapel is gebouwd, Pastoor Ronald Cornelissen van de Jozef kerk in Noorddurningen heeft in 2007 de wijding gedaan, de initiatiefnemers Kuipers en Wilders hebben het bouwwerk na de korte wijdingsplechtigheid formeel overgedragen aan de parochie van Noorddurningen, de kapel valt daarmee onder het aardbisdom Utrecht.

Echter kuipers en Wilders blijven wel de zorg op zich nemen voor het beheer en onderhoud, om het Mariabeeld in de kapel te beschermen tegen vandalen is een hekwerk geplaatst dat elke avond op slot gaat, maar of dat nodig is? waant hier on Dinkelland lopen nog voldoende strijdbare nazaten van Arthur en koning opmar rond

In order to protect the statue of Mary in the chapel from vandals, a fence has been erected that locks every evening, but whether this is necessary is irrelevant, as there are still enough militant descendants of Arthur and King Omar walking around here in Dinkelland.
