An old Cut Bench Mark left by first O/S survey in late 1880/90's

This Bench Mark is cut into a large Granite rock just above the River Walkham below Greena Ball and slightly East of Dead lake foot. It was cut by the OS survey team in the late 1800's and is shown on first OS map of Devon dated 1890 with a spot height of 1413.9 feet above sea level
