The three murals on the facade of the post office show historical scenes from the neighbourhood. The artwork was executed in 1982 by the artist Sven Ljungberg (1913 – 2010). The grey/white motif is an 80 square meter Sgraffito artwork.

"Sgraffito is a coloring technique which consists in laying down a layer which is allowed to dry, after which, in a semi-dry state, you scrape it off where you want a pattern". (visit link)

There are many small stories in the murals. Behind a tree stands a couple kissing. Several construction workers work with concrete, among other things they cast a floor. At the railway station there is a steam locomotive and a horse carriage. And this is how history is shown to future generations.
