Kraków Old Town (Stare Miasto) is centered around the Rynek Glówny Square and is surrounded by the greenery of Planty Park. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
It is a charming district with medieval buildings and churches, many cafes and restaurants as well as many interesting shops. Many tourists visit Krakow and the Old Town, it is also both interesting and not particularly expensive to be a tourist here.


1.Rynek Glówny N 50° 03.723 E 19° 56.300
Rynek Glówny (Central Square) is truly a center. The large square is well visited by pigeons, tourists and local traders and performers. Historic buildings can be seen on all sides and a trumpet can be heard playing every hour from the church tower.
Lined up along the market square are horse-drawn carriages. Horse-drawn carriage rides a popular way to tour/trot around the old town


2. Sukiennice N 50° 03.698 E 19° 56.256
The Sukiennice or Cloth Hall is one of the most important elements of Kraków's architectural heritage. It was here that all trade was previously concentrated. After a fire in 1555, the building was rebuilt. There are still many stalls in the building where mainly Polish-made goods are sold to tourists.


3. St Mary's Church Tower N 50° 03.704 E 19° 56.328
St Mary's Church from the end of the 14th century has two towers of different heights. The low tower has 5 bells. From the high tower, a trumpeter plays the famous bugle call every hour. The bugle call originates from a legend where a trumpeter saved Krakow from invasion by warning the inhabitants with a trumpet fanfare.


4. Saint Florian's Gate N 50° 03.892 E 19° 56.476
Saint Florian's Gate has been the most important gate into the city center since the Middle Ages. At the gate today you can also see local artists exhibiting their art


5. The Planty Garden Ring N 50° 03.925 E 19° 56.191
The Planty Garden Ring is a park area that surrounds the old town. In fact, it is divided into eight smaller areas with over forty different trees and shrubs. In several places, remains of an old city wall can be seen.
