"Cáritas Parroquial de Beas apuesta por la artesanía para generar una red de apoyo y oportunidades laborales
Cáritas Parroquial de Beas lleva a cabo un taller de artesanía, en concreto, un taller de bordado de mantones y flecos. Una iniciativa que surge de la reflexión realizada por el voluntariado de la Cáritas Parroquial, el cual sentía la necesidad de completar y desarrollar a otros niveles el trabajo que llevaban años realizando con las familias más vulnerables de la localidad. Dicho trabajo había ido transformándose hacia una acogida y atención personalizadas, acompañando a las familias en sus diversas situaciones, enfocándolo desde un punto de vista promocional.
Desde que el taller arrancó hace tres años, cuando se estudió que podía tener salidas laborales para las mujeres que aprendieran a coser las prendas, ya que las mujeres del pueblo son muy aficionadas a los vestidos de flamenca. También se reflexionó sobre el valor de promocionar técnicas artesanales para que así no queden en el olvido, y el beneficio terapéutico que tiene cualquier trabajo manual en sí mismo.Los objetivos que este taller son muchos:
La adquisición y desarrollo de técnicas de confección y bordado, que pudieran contribuir a generar salidas laborales para las mujeres en situación vulnerable.
La promoción de técnicas artesanales desarrolladas por oficios tradicionales, muy significativas por su aportación al patrimonio cultural de la provincia y al valor del territorio.
Generar una oportunidad, un lugar de encuentro que propicien el intercambio, la confianza y la creación de una red de apoyo entre mujeres, desdibujándose las fronteras a veces marcadas de manera rígida entre voluntaria-destinataria, tornándose en un espacio en el que todas, mujeres, seres de igual dignidad, aprenden, comparten inquietudes y alegrías, se apoyan mutuamente y crecen como personas."

Cáritas Parroquial de Beas carries out a crafts workshop, specifically, a shawl and fringe embroidery workshop. An initiative that arises from the reflection carried out by the volunteers of the Parish Cáritas, who felt the need to complete and develop at other levels the work they had been carrying out for years with the most vulnerable families in the town. This work had been transformed towards personalized reception and attention, accompanying families in their various situations, focusing on it from a promotional point of view.
Since the workshop started three years ago, when it was studied that there could be job opportunities for women who learned to sew the garments, since the women of the town are very fond of flamenco dresses. They also reflected on the value of promoting artisanal techniques so that they are not forgotten, and the therapeutic benefit that any manual work has in itself. The objectives of this workshop are many:
The acquisition and development of clothing and embroidery techniques, which could contribute to generating job opportunities for women in vulnerable situations.
The promotion of artisanal techniques developed by traditional trades, very significant for their contribution to the cultural heritage of the province and the value of the territory.
Generate an opportunity, a meeting place that encourages exchange, trust and the creation of a support network between women, blurring the sometimes rigidly marked borders between volunteer-recipient, becoming a space in which all women , beings of equal dignity, learn, share concerns and joys, support each other and grow as people.
