Djurgården is an island and a district in Stockholm. On Djurgården you can see beautiful gardens and parks, magnificent homes, an amusement park and many museums. Among other things, the Vasa Museum, with the ship Vasa, the world's best-preserved 17th-century ship.
On the round trip you can also find Waymarks and geocaches.

1. The blue gate: N 59 19.837 E 18 5.673
The tour starts at the blue gate which is located at Djurgårdsbron. The gate is the entrance to the large park area with old oak trees and beautiful buildings. Princess Estelle's sculpture park is also in the area.
And why start here...because the gate is beautiful.

2. Junibacken: N 59 19.756 E 18 5.382
Junibacken is a children's park with a focus on children's literature with a theatre, train, playhouse and parties.
In front of the park there is a sculpture of the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren.

3. The Vasa Museum: N 59 19.722 E 18 5.500
Vasa was commissioned by the Swedish king Gustav II Adolf in 1626 but lack of experience meant that the ship was built incorrectly. Already on its maiden voyage in 1628, the ship capsized after just 20 minutes of sailing and sank. After 333 years at the bottom of the sea, the ship was salvaged, and the unique art treasure can now be experienced at the Vasa Museum. 98 percent of the ship consists of original parts as well as hundreds of carved sculptures.
The building of the Vasa was one of Sweden's biggest failures, but is now one of the biggest tourist attractions.

4. ABBA The Museum N 59 19.496 E 18 5.827
ABBA The Museum is about one of Sweden's biggest bands and is an incredibly interactive experience. Here you can try to be member number five yourself, or look at the many costumes, instruments and gold records.

5. Gröna Lund N 59 19.439 E 18 5.888
Gröna Lund's Tivoli is a small amusement park and at the same time Sweden's oldest amusement park. It has existed since 1883.
Right from the start, Gröna Lund became the excursion destination for Stockholmers, and it still is.

6. Lilla Hasselbacken N 59 19.429 E 18 5.979
Lilla Hasselbacken is a restaurant that was built in 1866. The green wooden building originally opened to welcome the general art and industrial exhibition in Stockholm in 1867.
The building has been restored several times since it was built, most recently after a fire, but the original style has been preserved, which can also be seen in the interior design. The restaurant is known for its Swedish cuisine.
