Mdina Gate is the main gate into the fortified city of Mdina, Malta (L-Imdina in Maltese). Mdina is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world. Cars are not allowed in the city.
Mdina is the former capital of Malta. It is located in the middle of the island and is surrounded by a defensive structure. It is also called "The Silent City".
About 300 inhabitants live in Mdina, many of whom make a living from the many tourists who visit the city. It can be, for example, handicrafts or restaurants and cafes.
The many historic buildings are very well maintained and have countless exciting details.
