History:
On August 11th, 1827, by order of Dom Pedro I, two law schools were established. One in Sao Paulo and the other in Olinda (Pernambuco State) In 1934, the university, still a federal university was passed to the city of Sao Paulo, becoming a state university.
The university offers graduate and post graduate degrees in majors like civil law, commercial law, international law etc.
The univeristy is just one building with a plaza outside. It's located in downtown Sao Paulo by the Praca de Se.
