The Kraków Barbican is a fortified outpost once connected to the city walls. It is a historic gateway leading into the Old Town of Kraków, Poland.
The Barbican was built around 1498 and is done in the Baroque style. It is a moated cylindrical brick structure with an inner courtyard 24.4 meters in diameter. The 3 meter thick walls hold 130 Embrasure.

The text on the postcard is not Polish. It is written partly in Danish and partly in German. That is why it is written; "Krakow, Rondel i Brama Floryanska - Krakau, Bastei und Florianertor ". So it is a typical postcard bought by foreign tourists.
