The historical centre of Kutná Hora can be divided into northern and southern parts. Husova Street, which crosses the town from east to west, serves us well for the imaginary division. The Czech Hiking Markers System (visit link) is also a good way to find your way around the city full of gothic winding streets.

This puzzle offers a glimpse into a narrow connecting alley. The alley is called Mincírská - the name is derived from the Czech word "mince" [EN: coin]. The name of the alley illustrates the link between the history of the town and silver mining and coinage.

Also, I haven't mentioned it yet... the mining history and silver mining is reflected in the name of the town itself. The Czech word "kutná" is derived from the word "kutat" meaning to dig/quarry/mine.

In the above-ground part of the alley, some kind of connecting bridges take on significance with regard to the statics of the adjacent buildings. Similar structural elements can be seen in Prague's Thunovská Street (visit link) .
