Trasa Uniwersytecka, The University Route, takes you to 17 universities, including the 650-year-old Jagiellonian University.

Krakow has been an academic center for centuries and the route leads past the beautiful buildings with many monuments. It is here in Krakow that the oldest Polish university is located, originally called the Krakow Academy, founded in 1364 by King Casimir the Great, making it one of the oldest universities in Europe.

The 15th century was the most brilliant period for the university. At that time, students from different parts of Europe came here to study. Nicolaus Copernicus, among others, studied here.
