Way of St. James Milestone in the city center of Krakow. In 2019 the Xunta has installed this Way of Saint James Milestone in front of the John Paul II ‘Papal Window’. In addition to the Milestone, there is also a sign stating that the stone is a gift.

On the Milestone you can read that there are 4184 km to Santiago de Compostela. In Poland, there is great interest in the Way of St James and from 2014 to 2019 alone, over 20,000 Poles have hiked the route.

The Milestone is a gift from the Galician government. The Milestone established in Krakow is the fifth that the Galician government has installed abroad.
