Terezin was a military base for, literally, hundreds of years. First it hosted the armies of the Habsburg (or Austrian-Hungarian) Empire. Then, those of Czechoslovakia. During the Second World War, the Germans. But now it's a civilian location, a small village with this particularity: every single building in it used to have a military usage.
Near its wide central square there is an outdoors basketball court. For the community, of free access, always available. It's a full court with kind of asphalt pavement. The hoops are in poor condition but the game is still playable.
