There is a sort of tral to a flag atop Tussey Mountain. Beside the flag is a trail register.

Loysburk Peak is the summit of Tussey Mountain in Loysburg.

Parking is along Route 36, at N 40 09.627 W 78 22.406

Cross the bridge and follow the orange (mid-state trail) blazes for a bit. Turn left to follow the white blazes to the summit. This is the Loysburg flag lookout trail.

Total elevation gain is 800 feet, with some very steep and rocky portions.

This is in state game lands 73, so be mindful of hunting seasons.
